Nana’s Rice Supports Students in Kasunya and Nyapienya with Eco-Friendly School Bags
Kasunya Township, August 01, 2023: Nana’s Rice, the esteemed Ghanaian rice brand, has embarked on a transformative journey with its latest Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, Project Smile — a backpack support project. Demonstrating unwavering commitment to empowering education and sustainable practices, the brand has donated a considerable number of 500 eco-friendly school bags, ingeniously crafted from their rice packages, to two schools in Kasunya — Nyapienya Township.
Project Smile stands as a beacon of hope for underprivileged students, providing them with essential tools for quality education and igniting a passionate pursuit of knowledge. The palpable joy and excitement were evident as students from Kasunya RC Basic School and Nyapienya B/A Basic School received their new school bags, which represent more than just utilitarian items — they symbolise a promise of a brighter future.
For Samira, a beaming student at Kasunya RC Basic School, the experience was nothing short of life-changing. “When I received my new school bag made from Nana’s Rice, I felt so special because I didn’t have one. Now, I can comfortably attend school, want to study harder and make my family proud,” she shared with an infectious smile.
Mr Solomon Apronti, the Head Teacher at Kasunya RC Basic School, commended Nana’s Rice’s initiative, stating, “The impact of ‘Project Smile’ on our students is immeasurable. The provision of these school bags will go a long way to motivate the children to go to school, properly keep learning materials and study well.
